A lifelong passion for languages

Languages have been at the heart of my professional life for more than 25 years.

I am a native French speaker with a BA (Hons) in English Language, and my career has taken me from language teaching and pastoral leadership to professional interpreting and translation.

After 13 years as a language teacher, I decided to take my linguistic expertise in a new direction and trained professionally as an interpreter and translator, completing a CIOL DPSI French Law Level 6 qualification, achieving a Merit in interpreting and a Distinction in written translation.

That experience reinforced something I have believed throughout my career: knowing a language is only the beginning.

True communication requires an understanding of nuance, culture, context and people.

Whether I am helping someone communicate during an important appointment, translating a document that needs to be understood precisely, or helping a student finally make sense of a difficult grammar point, the principle is the same:

Language should create understanding, not barriers.

I now bring together my experience in interpretation, translation and education to offer a professional but genuinely personal language service.
